Chapter 11

The heavy oak door to the conference room swung open, revealing a space bathed in the warm glow of sunlight streaming through the tall windows. The polished wood table dominated the room, flanked by high-backed chairs. At the far end, a foxkin woman stood, her bushy orange tail flicking slightly as she turned to greet them. Her piercing green eyes met Nate’s, sharp and assessing, even from across the room.
