With a deep breath, I stepped out of my barrier after saying the activation words of the arcane language to initiate the medallion’s runes. As the runes activated, it began to glow, and a loud hum filled the air for several moments. Brilliant light flooded the area around me, illuminating everything in a sudden, intense flash. The brightness quickly subsided, leaving the space calm once more. I paused for a moment, taking a few steady breaths to steady myself and ensure that the runes had functioned as intended.
